Hi everyone!  I am Elizabeth, one half of the duo of sisters-in-law who blog at Simple Simon and Company…and today I am sharing a simple and fast sewing gift that you can make in an afternoon. All you need are a few things and you have a darling Christmas apron that you can wear or give as a hostess gift.

Here’s what you need:

materials dishtowel

1 waffle cloth dishtowel

1 small piece of fusible interfacing to attach fabric to the towel

Scraps of green fabric and scrap trims, red pom pom

Scissors, thread, sewing machine

1/4 yard red fabric for waistband

Step 1: Press your double sided fusible interfacing onto your scrap green fabric according to the directions on the interfacing. Cut out a Christmas tree shape out of your green fabric and press it onto the towel. Then pin your trims into place.

Step 2: Stitch around the tree shape and include the trim as you stitch down the perimeter of the tree.
