I am excited to be joining the fun in the Bake, Craft, Sew series again this year.

I love the holidays but it never fails, I always find myself in a crunch for time. That means, I need to plan ahead and keep things simple but in my world, that does not mean skimping on the details. In fact, I think details like wrapping are one of  the most important things!  So, even though my project today is really simple, I promise, it can transform even a store bought gift into something fantastically hand-made!

Before we get started, I want to share a few tips about sewing on paper.

Stitching on paper will dull your needle so be sure to dedicate a needle just for this task.  Adjust your stitch length to be slightly longer.  If the stitches are too close together, the paper will tear. Remember, we are punching holes.  If sewing on paper is new to you, check out my Paper Sewing Tips page.

So, let’s gather up our supplies and get stitching!

Basic instructions:

To make a 4″ square bag, cut parchment paper 8″ long by the width of the roll.  *Note: Since cookies come in all shapes and sizes, you’ll need to measure yours for an accurate fit.
